Mrs. Celeste Adams, Principal

Mrs. Adams has a decade of educational leadership experience. Prior to becoming principal Adams served as an Assistant Principal at Dothan Preparatory Academy and Beverlye Magnet School. Before her leadership roles, Adams had 16 years of classroom teaching experience with nine years at Susquehanna Township High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and seven years at former Girard Middle School.

Adams holds Bachelors of Arts in English (English Secondary) and a Masters of Education (Reading Specialist) both from Shippensburg University and a Masters of Education in Instructional Leadership from Troy University Dothan.

Adams is excited to collaborate with talented educators and students. Her goals include cultivating a supportive environment that encourages an atmosphere suitable for effective teaching and learning.

Adams is married to George Adams, and is mother to Dorothee Adams.

La Sra. Adams tiene una década de experiencia en liderazgo educativo. Antes de convertirse en directora, Adams se desempeñó como subdirectora en Dothan Preparatory Academy y Beverlye Magnet School. Antes de sus roles de liderazgo, Adams tenía 16 años de experiencia en la enseñanza en el aula, con nueve años en Susquehanna Township High School en Harrisburg, Pensilvania y siete años en la ex Girard Middle School.

Adams tiene una Licenciatura en Artes en Inglés (Inglés Secundario) y una Maestría en Educación (Especialista en Lectura) ambas de la Universidad de Shippensburg y una Maestría en Educación en Liderazgo Instructivo de la Universidad de Troy en Dothan.

Adams está casada con George Adams y es madre de Dorothee Adams.

Dr. Vincent Owens, Assistant Principal

Vince Owens is affectionately known among his friends as the "gentle giant." He comes with 10 years of service in educational settings and a total of 18 years dedicated to working with youth and families. Owens earned a B.S. in Liberal Studies, an M.Ed. in Special Education from Troy University, and both Specialist and Doctorate degrees in Educational Leadership and Administration from Liberty University.
Dr. Owens has held various roles as an instructor and instructional support staff across elementary, middle, and high school levels. Since 2022, he has been a faculty member at Liberty University’s College of Education. His passion lies in fostering learning and helping students achieve their full potential. Above all, Dr. Owens takes great pride in  being a father to his three sons—Emmanuel, Nicholas, and Vincent III.

Vince Owens es conocido cariñosamente entre sus amigos como el "gigante gentil". Cuenta con 10 años de servicio en entornos educativos y un total de 18 años dedicados al trabajo con jóvenes y familias. Owens obtuvo una licenciatura en Estudios Liberales, una maestría en Educación Especial por la Universidad de Troy y títulos de Especialista y Doctorado en Liderazgo y Administración Educativa por la Universidad Liberty. El Dr. Owens ha desempeñado diversos cargos como instructor y personal de apoyo educativo en los niveles de primaria, secundaria y preparatoria. Desde 2022, es miembro del profesorado de la Facultad de Educación de la Universidad Liberty. Su pasión radica en fomentar el aprendizaje y ayudar a los estudiantes a alcanzar su máximo potencial. Sobre todo, el Dr. Owens se enorgullece de ser padre de sus tres hijos: Emmanuel, Nicholas y Vincent III.

Mrs. Robin Coachman, Assistant Principal

Greetings!
My name is Robin Coachman, and I am honored to serve as Assistant Principal,
bringing 27 years of experience in education, all from Dothan City Schools. Throughout
my career, I have taught kindergarten, first, and third grades, and served as both a
reading specialist and instructional specialist. Each of these roles has deepened my
passion for supporting both students and teachers in meaningful ways. I recently
graduated from Auburn University in 2024 with a degree in Instructional Leadership and
am currently pursuing my Education Specialist degree. I am deeply committed to
supporting student success and empowering educators.
Outside of school, I enjoy time with family-my spouse, Danny, three children, Derrick,
Dana, and Drinda, and two wonderful grandkids, Kyngston and Saige. I am thrilled to
join the Dothan 6th Grade Center to “Lead the Pack” in new learning and leadership as
we grow together.

Me llamo Robin Coachman y me siento honrada de ser la Subdirectora, con 27 años de experiencia 
en educación, todos ellos en las Escuelas de la Ciudad de Dothan. A lo largo de mi carrera, he 
impartido clases de kínder, primero y tercer grado, y me he desempeñado como especialista en 
lectura y especialista en instrucción. Cada uno de estos roles ha profundizado mi pasión por 
apoyar tanto a estudiantes como a docentes de manera significativa. Recientemente me gradué 
de la Universidad de Auburn en 2024 con un título en Liderazgo Educativo y actualmente estoy 
cursando mi título de Especialista en Educación. Estoy profundamente comprometida con el éxito 
estudiantil y el empoderamiento de los educadores.

Fuera de la escuela, disfruto del tiempo con mi familia: mi esposo, Danny, mis tres hijos, Derrick, 
Dana y Drinda, y mis dos maravillosos nietos, Kyngston y Saige. Estoy encantada de unirme al Centro
 de Sexto Grado de Dothan para liderar el nuevo aprendizaje y liderazgo a medida que crecemos 
juntos.
